Tierra Mexicana is our first major short film by Mosscrystal Studio. Fusing traditional mariachi music (composed by Gao de la Cruz and performed by Rosy Arango) with handcrafted animation, the project is an intimate and profound visual work.

Each scene was hand-painted with watercolor and gouache, developing like an animated travel journal within a sketchbook. It is a visual tribute to the duality of Mexico, celebrating its beauty, art, and the resilience of its people in the face of adversity.
